Psychology sophomore Kim Kaspari soaks up the last November rays at the pool in Jefferson Commons apartments yesterday. Last month was Tucson's hottest November on record, and with no recorded rainfall, its driest in almost 20 years. Yesterday's high temperature of 87 degrees surpassed the previous record of 84, set in 1910. The Nov. 30 average high temperature is 68 degrees. Daily high temperatures were set five times during the month, and tied on another five occasions. The excessive November heat is attributed to the la NiÛa weather pattern. December looks to cool off, as temperatures are expected to be in the high 60s by the weekend.
