Sexual Assault Awareness Week continues on the UA Mall today as CARE continues to hand out pamphlets and information in front of the UA Associated Students Bookstore. What can be found in these pamphlets you ask? They are simply chock full of information about who to contact for support in case you or someone you know is sexually assaulted. They will be out there today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. informing students. Call Lily DeSantiago of CARE at 621-4679 if you have any additional questions.

Feel like all of your friends have left you off this year's flag football team. Maybe you are new to the school and haven't had the chance yet to form a team. Stop by the Intramural Sports Office upstairs in the Student Recreation Center today and tell the coordinator Brian Jacoby "Put me in Coach!" Today is free agent play day and folks like Jacoby are going to put you on a team in need if you come ready to play. Call the Intramural Sports office at 621-8723 if you would like clarification about any of the above mentioned items.

Your desire to help people overwhelming you? Need help to find a Federal Work Study position? The Community Service Job Fair is held just for these and other types of reasons. Expected to be at this fair are boatloads of non-profit organizations. Agencies like the Boys and Girls Club, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the American Cancer Society. The fair begins at 10 a.m. and is expected to last four hours. Drop in a check out your prospects on landing a top-notch service job that can give you a good feeling inside and boost your resume. Weekly free concerts entitled "Groovin' on the Grass" on the UA Mall begin today from 12 p.m. until 1. Every Wednesday, bands will play for your entertainment while you gobble down food on the Mall. Look for a new local sensation each week. It is also loud enough where you don't even have to be near the Mall to hear it. You can be at PAS or Modern Languages - everyone has the chance to enjoy some lunch tunes. Sponsored by UAB's Eat to the Beat, today's starring band is Tricky Luz. For future bands call William Guth at 621-1111.

You can't go wrong with a little baseball on a Wednesday night. Catch the Arizona Diamondbacks at the end of one of their final homestands of the year against the Montreal Expos. Tonight's game begins at 7:35 p.m. at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix. If you don't mind the trek up their to catch playoff baseball during its final hour. The Diamondbacks are currently 8 1/2 games in front of the San Francisco Giants for first place in the National League West. Spend your night at the old ballpark enjoying America's national pastime.
