Brewing beer isn't as hard as you may think.
First, though, you'll need some supplies. This list is not intended to be a complete list of every gadget and supply you may want to eventually get, but instead a list of a few things that you will definitely need to get started.
< household bleach.
< 1 3-4 gallon pot. Stainless steel or enamel is preferred.
< 1 five-gallon glass carboy. A water bottle, essentially.
< 1 five- to ten-gallon plastic bucket, with lid.
< a six foot length of 3/8 inch plastic tubing.
< a fermentation lock.
< another length of 3/8" plastic hose, about 2.5 feet long.
< a large plastic funnel.
< a thermometer, with a range of 0ø-220ø F.
The thermometer should be accurate to at least 2.5ø F.
< a beer hydrometer.
< a bottle washer (optional).
< bottle caps Ä unused, of course.
< a bottle capper.
< 60 returnable type beer bottles. Screw cap throw-aways are not acceptable!
