'Wildcat' comics page is home for disadvantaged cartoonists

Editor:

In light of recent criticisms of the Wildcat comic page, I thought I would speak out and defend the noble efforts of the Wildcat staff. For those of you who don't know it, the Wildcat is on the vanguard of political correctness. Way ahead of their time, the Wildcat has instituted a program to hire the underrepresented in our society. Their most obvious excursion into this new humanitarian frontier is the hiring of artistically and humoristically challenged cartoonists. After all, they are people too.

Therefore, we should join our voices in praise of the Wildcat staff for their open-minded and progressive approach to humor. And if you don't, you might find out about the latest technological advance incorporated into the Wildcat. A new "warm feeling sensor" is interwoven into the very fabric of the newsprint used by the Wildcat. Any person not exhibiting the appropriate re-sponse will be electronically reported to the proper authorities, and automatically scheduled for the requisite sensitivity training.
