A $1,000 gold and silver watch was stolen from a room in Coronado Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., sometime Sunday night.

The victim reported that he saw his watch around 9 p.m. on Sunday, but found it missing by 7:30 a.m. Monday. His room was not locked, and the victim said he did not suspect his roommate.

The watch is silver with a gold band and has the owner¹s initials engraved in the back of it.

A 19-year-old student was charged with possession of drug paraphenalia after an university police officer went to check on her unsecured car.

Sara Rosenthal of Graham-Greenlee Hall, 610 N. Highland Ave., was charged and referred to a diversion program on Sunday.

UAPD was alerted that a car was left with the front passenger door open and the rear passenger doors unlocked in a parking lot at Fourth Street and Highland Avenue.

The car had no license plate, so the officer opened the glove box to look for registration or other identification. When he opened the glove box, he found a silver smoking pipe.

Rosenthal said that the pipe was probably left there by a friend.
