MILPITAS, Calif. ‹ Human-rights activist Harry Wu thanked his neighbors for their support during his two months¹ imprisonment in China, and said he may return there one day despite the threat of a lengthy prison term.
ŒŒI¹m so very proud to be defended by my fellow Americans,¹¹ Wu said after cutting yellow ribbons down from his hometown¹s City Hall. ŒŒI will never, never forget this.¹¹
Wu¹s wife, Ching-Lee Wu, and city officials had tied the ribbons on two pillars, vowing that Wu himself would take them down.
