Front-page story belonged in 'Police Beat'

Editor:

The article "UAPD arrests two journalists over Cepelak incident" (Oct. 30) should have been placed in Police Beat. Since when does a UA student's private life become front page news in the Daily Wildcat?

I don't know the student involved, but she deserves more privacy than the Wildcat has allowed her. Sure, tabloids run this sort of story all the time, but I would think the editor of a college paper would show more courtesy to her fellow students.

How would Christine Verges or Charles Ratliff feel if she or he were going through a similar situation and the Wildcat made a front-page story of it? "UAPD arrests two journalists" is news for a tabloid, but not news for the Wildcat.
