The Employee Wellness Program is sponsoring a contest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for people who quit smoking "cold turkey." Those who wish to enter should have someone witness the day and send an entry form back to the Wellness Center by 4:30 p.m. Monday to win a turkey.

UA Theatre presents "Childe Byron" by Romulus Linney in the Fine Arts Complex New Drama Building at 8 p.m. The play is a portrait of poet Lord Byron.

Sir Michael Tippett speaks on his music as part of the School of Music's Visiting Composer Series in Music Building Room 146 at 5 p.m.

The Arizona State Museum presents "Kachina Images in Hopi Art." The class discusses tihu, plaques, pottery, tiles, textiles and painting. It will be held at the museum from 7 to 9 p.m. with tickets priced at $15.

Gallagher Theatre presents "Ghostbusters" as the midnight special. Ticket prices are $2.50.

The School of Music presents a Jazz Combo concert in the Fine Arts Complex Crowder Hall at 3 p.m.

The Sierra Club presents a slide show titled "Arizona's Gila Box." The presentation is given by Thoron Lane in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences Building Room 201 at 7:45 p.m.

The University Joint Planning Committee is holding a meeting to discuss the reduction of the university's proposed southern boundary. The meeting will be held in the Mansfeld Middle School Auditorium at 5:30 p.m.

The Mathematics Department presents a colloquium titled "Derivatives of Integer Numbers" in Mathematics Building Room 501 at 4 p.m.
