The Union's 44th
The 44th birthday of the Student Union will be celebrated Friday, November 17 with birthday events and 44-cent specials throughout the Student Union.
Specials will include 44-cent 32 oz fountain drinks, 44-cent black and white transparency copies at Fast Copy, free table tennis and foosball at Sam's Place, and 44-cent small gourmet coffee at Union Square Cafe from noon to 2 p.m.
Events will include Comedy Corner in The Cellar from noon to 1 p.m., birthday cake in front of Fast Copy at 1 p.m. and a Union Club Dinner at 5:30 p.m. For details on the dinner, call the Union Club at 621-3169.
Affirmative action forum
A brown bag forum on affirmative action sponsored by the African American Leadership Alliance starts at noon in the Rincon Room. The title of the forum is "Affirmative action concerning peoples of color, Part 1: University admissions and standards, myths and misconceptions and the university workplace."
