Disbelievers deserve rights

Editor:

This letter is in regard to John Keisling's column ("God could exist despite no evidence," Nov. 1) concerning the existence of God. In the piece, he berates the American Civil Liberties Union for "hounding" religion out of public schools. Oh, that pesky ACLU, always trying to protect our constitutional rights.

With increasing attacks from the religious right against the wall separating church and state, it grows more and more imperative that the wall be strengthened to protect not only the rights of all religions, but the rights of those who choose not to believe in a god as well.
