˜ The men's basketball team is playing in the National Invitation Tournament at 4 p.m. It is being broadcasted on ESPN.

˜ The School of Music is presenting two recitals tonight. The first, a guitar solo by Michael Harding in the Fine Arts Complex Holsclaw Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. The second is a faculty recital by Patrick Neher on double bass in the Fine Arts Complex Crowder Hall at 8 p.m.

˜ The Anthropology Department is presenting a lecture entitled "The Customs of our Ancestors: Cora Religious Conversion and Millenarianism, 2000 to 1722" in the Anthropology Building Room 216 at 4 p.m.

˜ A gardening demonstration entitled "The Leaves are Falling: Make Your Own Compost" is being held twice today. The first one is at 9 a.m. at the Garden Extension Center. The second one is at 1 p.m. at the Wilmot Library.

˜ A tree ring talk entitled "Dendroecological Assessment of Whitebark Pine, Central Idaho" is being presented in Arizona Stadium Room 104G at 9 a.m.

˜ Gallagher Theatre is presenting "Mortal Kombat" at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.

˜ A celebration of winter solstice occurs Sunday at 2 p.m. in Centennial Hall through a musical journey with the Paul Winter Consort.

The Paul Winter Consort features Winter's original compositions that include jazz, classical and world influences. Tickets for the event are $23, $17 and $13. UA faculty and staff can receive a $4 discount and $5 student rush tickets will be available 45 minutes before the event. For information, call 621-3341.
