Many basketball tickets still remain

From staff reports

The University of Arizona will place individual game tickets for most of its remaining home men's basketball games on sale Monday, UA athletic ticket manager Darlene Castelan said yesterday.

No tickets are available for home games against Arizona State, Oregon State and UCLA, but for other games, the number of remaining tickets ranges from a few tickets to several hundred.

In addition, approximately 2,500 tickets are available for games against Syracuse on Dec. 23 and California on March 9. Approximately 700 tickets are available for each night of the Bank One Fiesta Bowl Classic, Dec. 28 and 30.

The athletic department recently searched McKale Center and found locations where approximately 80 seats could be installed without construction costs. Many of these tickets are for these new seats.

All tickets will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. at the McKale Center Ticket Office. While supplies last, the sales will continue each weekday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is a limit of 10 tickets per game per buyer. The price of the tickets varies by location. For more information, phone 621-CATS.

Additionally, there remains the possibility some tickets to selected games will be available on game night. The Pacific 10 Conference requires 100 tickets reserved for sale by visiting teams. Many opponents do not sell their entire allotment and any returned tickets are put on sale 90 minutes prior to tipoff.
