Robert Coochyouma, a counselor with the Hopi Tribe's Grants and Scholarship Office, will be in the Native American Resource Center today from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to provide important financial information.

Teach For America

Teach For America is holding an information session today at 7 p.m. in Student Union Room 280.

Teach For America is a national teacher corps of outstanding individuals from all cultural backgrounds and academic majors who commit to teach for two years. These teachers are provided with training and support and they work as full-time, salaried teachers in urban and rural public schools. All majors are accepted.

Poetry contest

The Collegiate Latin Underground is holding its first poetry contest. Entries should be 50 lines or less, on any topic, in any style. Spanish entries are accepted. There is a $1 reading fee on all entries.

The deadline for entries is Dec. 8. Entries should be sent to Collegiate Latin Underground (Poetry Contest), 6 Ashland Ave., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Submissions also can be e-mailed to verse@eden.rutgers.edu.

Medication line

The UA College of Pharmacy will operate a medication information line that will have pharmacy professionals answering callers' questions regarding medication side-effects, drug interactions and more on Oct. 23-25 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The information line is a free service to the community. Tucson area residents should call 325-4713 while residents outside the city should phone toll-free 1-800-511-5542.

Copper Bowl Court

The Copper Bowl Foundation will crown the 1995 Weiser Lock Copper Bowl Queen and her court on Wednesday at a hosted reception at the Viscount Suite Hotel, 4855 E. Broadway.

The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the coronation will take place at 6:15 p.m.

The Queen and her court will also be introduced at halftime of the UA-University of Washington game Saturday.
