UA water polo club

The Arizona club water polo team will hold an orientation meeting Monday at 3 p.m. in the Geraldo Rivera Room of the Student Recreation Center. The meeting is for returning players and anyone interested in joining the team.

Players are expected to be strong swimmers, but prior water polo experience is not a prerequisite.

Poetry Forum

The Catholic Classics Forum will host a recital and discussion on the poetry of Phyllis McGinley, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author.

The forum will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at the Catholic Newman Center.

The University Composition Board will present a writing workshop for faculty titled "Effective Research Paper Assignments," today at 3 p.m. in the Student Union Building Room 282. To register for the workshop, call 621-5428.

Parade Applicants

The first meeting for UA Homecoming Parade Applicants will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the Arizona Alumni Building Room 205. Each organization must have a representative present in order to participate.

Policy Forum

Margarita Roque, Presidential Appointee and Executive Seretariat of the Department of Transportation will be speaking at 5 p.m. today in the Senior Ballroom.

The topic of her forum is the Clinton Administration Educational Policy. Some of the issues to be discussed are: budget cuts, bilingual education, improvement in basic and core academics, and accessibility of secondary education.

Tune Up

The Fourth Annual Arizona High School Drum Line "Tune Up" is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the McKale Field East Lawn.

The event, presented by the UA School of Music and Dance, features more than 100 high school students.
