Editor:
I haven't read any positive responses to John Keisling's column from Sept. 12. The letters to the editor that have followed have opened the debate on pro-abortion and pro-life. Could I be permitted to add a thought on the subject?
When a woman miscarries Ÿ even in her first trimester Ÿ what does she say as she touches her abdomen? "I lost my baby." She doesn't say, "I lost my fetus." A miscarriage usually involves a lot of emotional trauma as well. So my question is, if a child is wanted it is a "baby," but a child who isn't is a "fetus"?
