Women's lacrosse

The Arizona women's club lacrosse team will hold an organizational meeting today at 6 p.m. in Student Union Room 280.

The meeting is for new and returning players. New members are welcome and encouraged to attend. No experience is necesary.

Pony Express

The Dick Tomey Pony Express is accepting pre-registration for the Sept. 30 events, which include a Fun Run, 5K and 10K races on the UA Mall.

Top finishers in each division and top fundraisers will earn a chance to win a year's lease of a 1996 Ford Mustang.

Registration packets are available at all Eegees, First Interstate Bank, Arizona Bank, the McKale ticket office, Student Recreation Center, and area athletic shops.

Committee meeting

The Conference on the Holocaust will hold a committee meeting today at 6 p.m. at the Hillel Center, 1245 E. 2nd St.

The committee is responsible for planning a week-long event about the Holocaust.

Poetry reading

Poet Pattiann Rogers will be reading from her work tonight at 8 in the Modern Languages Auditorium. Rogers is the author of six books of poetry including her most recent collection, Firekeeper: New and Selected Poems. The reading will be hosted by the UA Poetry Center and is free. An informal reception will follow the reading.

Bloodmobile on campus

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on campus at AURA, Inc., 950 N. Cherry Ave., today from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
