The Arizona rugby club ended its season yesterday by losing 17-12 to Texas Tech in double overtime at the Austin Invitational.

The Wildcats (11-6-1) advanced to the final by beating Baylor 33-0 and Stephen F. Austin 23-0.

But due to a slew of injuries to key players, Arizona was forced into a position shuffle that completely unsettled the back line in the Texas Tech game.

After the loss, Coach Dave Sitton said: "I'm very disappointed _ about as low as I've felt here since I've been at Arizona. I was talking with (UA football coach) Dick Tomey the other day and he told me that your lowest low will never equal your highest high _ he was right."
