It may not be Lollapalooza, but it's the place to be this Saturday.
Nine bands will grace the sand volleyball courts in front of Arizona Sonora Residence Hall from 1 p.m. until midnight.
Scheduled to perform Saturday are: Click, Teech, Irving, Doo Rag, The Fells, The Lonely Trojans, A Band Called Moss, The Cortex Bomb Orchestra, Formich Bob and The Sasabe Giants.
But most importantly the concert is free.
In an unrelated event, 15 bands will get together tomorrow and Saturday nights for a concert blow-out benefitting the Salvation Army. Bands offering their talents will be Black Moon Graffiti, Scar Strangled Banger, Wooly Tooth, M.A.C., Cosmic Boogie Tribe and various and assorted others. A couple of national acts will be on hand as well, along with some DJs.
The shin-dig will happen at 2740 S. Kinney Road. take Ajo west, turn right on Kinney and the venue is the last business on the left before the state park. The shows are all-ages, but alcohol will be served with I.D., and plan to shell out $6 for the extravaganza. Call 883-6461 for more info. Read Next Article
