The Arizona baseball team will tune up for this weekend's three-game series with Arizona State by taking on another Phoenix-area school Ä Grand Canyon University.
The Antelopes will be at Sancet Field tonight at 7 for the last meeting of the year between the two schools.
The UA and 'Lopes split the first two games, with each school winning at home. GCU came storming back from a five-run deficit to win its March 21 meeting 8-7.
April 11, the UA experienced an offensive explosion to the tune of 17 runs on 17 hits.
Matt Hendren (1-4) will get the start for the Wildcats (17-28-1 overall, 4-17 in the Pacific 10 Conference Southern Division). The junior right-hander will be making his first start in close to two months. He has spent most of these last two months in a middle-relief role.
Brady Gordon (0-2) will get the start for the 'Lopes (17-30 overall, 9-9 in the Western Athletic Conference). Gordon, not one of GCU's regular starters, has pitched just 13.1 innings this season and has given up 19 runs in that time.
