I am writing in response to the article ("Gesture raises questions of gender bias" Feb. 7) and letter ("Female law student mistreated" Feb. 6) of the previous day(s) regarding Sarah Works and the notion that the world is plotting against her. Is it not possible that maybe, just maybe, the flip-off was deserved and not on the basis of sex but actions? Is it not also a valid point that all the energy being put forth on this non-issue could be put to a better use by helping hungry people in this community? It just boggles the mind how the Arizona Daily Wildcat could even waste space on this.
