Arizona Daily Wildcat
The UA women's golf team moved into 10th place with a 36-hole total of 624 after shooting a 308 in the second round of the Conquistadores/Chris Johnson Arizona Invitational yesterday at Randolph Park North Golf Course (par 72, 6,001 yards).
Arizona State shot a 302 in the second round of play to give it a 587 and the lead going into today's final round at Randolph North.
Wake Forest, Stanford and Oklahoma are tied for second with 614s.
Individually, the Wildcats' Brenna Cepelak is tied for fifth place with a 150 after shooting a 1-over 73 in the second round.
Sun Devil Wendy Ward is on top with a 142. Heather Bowie, also of ASU, is only two strokes off the pace with a 144. Nicole Cooper of Texas rounds out the top three with a 146.

The Arizona men's golf team concluded its second tournament in Hawaii by finishing seventh at the Taylor Made Big Island Intercollegiate Tournament. Junior Tim Beans tied for 10th place, the Wildcats' highest finisher in the tournament.
The UA battled back from a very disappointing opening round Saturday with a great round Sunday.
