The 17th ranked Arizona women's tennis team routed No. 10 Kansas 5-1 yesterday in the opening round of the Indoor Team Championships held in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Wildcats improved their record to 9-1 overall.
Vicky Maes, UA's number 1 singles player, came from a set behind to defeat Nora Koves 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.
Eva Maria Schurhoff took Jenny Atkerson in two sets 6-4, 6-2 and Stephanie Sammaritano defeated Christie Sim 6-3, 6-7, 6-4. Arizona's Angela Bernal fell to Amy Trytek of Kansas 6-3, 6-4.
Wildcats Amy Falco and Betsy Miringoff took their opponents each in two sets in singles play.
Arizona faces third seeded Florida today at 2:30. Florida blanked Southern California 6-0 during play yesterday.
