Temecula, Calif., may have a special place in the hearts of its few residents, but to visitors it is just a rest stop along the highway.
But UA women's golfer Brenna Cepelak is trying to leave Temecula with some memories of her own.
Cepelak is in second place after shooting a 3-over par 75 in the second round of the UCLA Pioneer Electronics Golf Classic at the Meinfee Lakes Country Club.
Cepelak's 36-hole total 146 puts her only one stroke behind leader Kellee Booth of Arizona State.
Arizona dropped from second place into third after shooting a 307 in the second round. The Wildcats 36-hole total 608 puts them behind leader ASU (592) and second place Tulsa (596).
Other Wildcats include Ulrika Johnsson (151) tied for 11th, Heather Graff tied at 19th (153), Jeanne Anne Krizman tied for 35th with Christina Tolderton (158) and Kelly Heffer at 67 (164).
