The 11th-ranked UA gymnastics team (2-0) will follow up their victory over the defending Div. II champion, Texas Woman's, by squaring off against No. 2 Utah (2-0), the defending NCAA Champion. The match will be held at 7:30 tomorrow night in McKale Center with the first 500 fans receiving free PowerBar T-shirts.

Right-handed junior transfer Matt Hendren will start at 2:30 p.m. today at Frank Sancet Field for the first of a three-game series between the Arizona baseball team and New Mexico.

Ryan Frace and Ben White will be the starting pitchers for Saturday and Sunday respectively. Each game starts at 1 p.m.

The Arizona club hockey team plays intra-state rival Arizona State Saturday night in Tempe at Oceanside Ice Arena at 7 p.m.

Jan Anderson won two matches yesterday afternoon to advance to the round of 16 at the Adidas Invitational, which is being held at the Grand Champions Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. Anderson had to put away Ken Baker from Boise St. (6-4, 6-2) and R.J. Traub of Georgia Tech (7-6, 6-3) yesterday afternoon because rain halted play Wednesday during first-round matches.

The Arizona track and field season opens Saturday at the Arizona All-Comers, to be held at Roy P. Drachman Stadium at 11 a.m.
