Death demeaned at UA

Editor:

Recently Professor Roy Johnson was murdered. The Arizona Daily Wildcat wrote a few stories about it, but the university went on with its business as usual. This is a signal to everybody that killing a professor does not disrupt our normal life and that it is accepted as part of our society. In some other country, this event would have caused an outrage across the university. All universities of our country would have organized large demonstrations. The whole public would have been united against the murderer. Other societies send a signal to everybody that killing a professor is completely unacceptable and that the murderer has no future in the society. It is no surprise that violence is not such a big problem in other societies. Our actions and reactions determine the future. Do you really not care if one of us is murdered? Wake up!
