Jeannine Hill, administrative assistant in the UA's personnel department, died on Saturday after a short illness. She was 62.

"Jeannine touched our lives in a variety of ways by her many kindnesses," said Andrew Johnson, manager of employment services. "We will always miss her presence."

"She helped all of us," said Jackie Bolen, a department of human resources employee. "She was a great lady."

Hill's illness forced her to terminate her employment on Nov. 1, 1994, after 19 years at the University of Arizona.

She began as a secretary in the department of special education in 1975, and then accepted the position of administrative assistant with the human resources department in 1982.

Hill is survived by five sons, Steven of Flagstaff; Phillip of Ontario, Canada; Peter of Springfield, Mo.; Michael of Orlando, Fla.; and Kevin of Tucson; one brother, Leo Carrier of Colonial Heights, Va.; her mother, Lucille Carrier of Winchendown, Md.; and six grandchildren.
