- The 15th Annual Docent Council White Elephant Sale, in which new and almost-new items are sold, is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the AHS Auditorium, 949 E. Second St. The sale benefits AHS educational programs and continues tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The society is accepting contributions for the sale. Call 628-5774 for details.
- The Department of East Asian Studies and the Critical Languages Program co-sponsor two lectures. "New Light on the Korean War: Insights from the Chinese and Soviet Archives," a lecture by Warren Cohen, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. "Amer ican Security Dilemmas in East Asia," by Nancy Bernkopf Tucker, from Georgetown University, is from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Both lectures are in Social Sciences Room 136.
- The School of Music and Dance presents a guitar area recital at 11 a.m. in Holsclaw Hall. A saxophone quartet is at 2 p.m. in the UA Museum of Art.
- "La Boheme" opera theater plays in Crowder Hall today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. Sunday. The opera shows at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12, $8 or $6.
- Centennial Hall presents a UA Dance Faculty Concert with Ben Vereen today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18, $15 or $12. Students and senior citizens receive a $3 discount on the ticket cost. For more information call 621-4698.
- The UA gymnastics team faces Arizona State at 7:30 p.m. at McKale Center.
- The UA men's tennis team plays Southern Cal at 1:30 p.m. Tomorrow, the team faces Stanford at noon. Both matches are at Robson Tennis Center.
