A UA student reported his doctoral research project was vandalized between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Dairy Research Center, 2130 E. Allen Road.

The victim found one-eighth of an inch cut from a tube that transfers distilled water and sodium acetate from a jug to the small intestine of a cow. The tube was found on the ground.

The victim said he does not know who cut the tube but said people regularly jog through the area. The cow was unharmed.

A UA student reported the theft of her Illinois license plate after the victim's Jeep Cherokee was stolen Oct. 21. The jeep was recovered by Tucson Police Oct. 28, but the license plate was still missing.

The UAPD and K-9 unit "Bach" assisted the Graham County Sheriff's office in an investigation of a private residence in San Jose, Arizona, for narcotics on Oct. 21.

Bach, approved of by the Arizona Crime Association, was requested by the Graham County Sheriff to inspect a house and two vehicles after the property was confiscated and a search warrant was attained.

The canine alerted police to a closet shelf in the southern bedroom of the house, where sheriff's officers said a bag containing what they believed to be cocaine was found. The canine also alerted police to a bedroom dresser where drug paraphanalia was found.

A green 17-speed Ultraman Sandpiper bicycle was stolen Monday afternoon from the Student Union bicycle racks. The owner returned to find the front wheel and U-lock intact.

The bicycle is valued at $275.

A blue and pink Jazz Latitude 12-speed mountain bicycle was reported stolen between 11 a.m. and noon Monday from the north side of the Mathematics Building. The victim said he returned from class to find his bicycle missing. The bicycle's value is estimated at $212.

A green and blue Road Master mountain bicycle was reported stolen between 6 p.m. last Monday and 2 p.m. Sunday from the bicycle racks across from Coronado Residence Hall. The victim said she found the U-Lock functional and attached to the bike rack.

The victim said the bicycle was not registered with UA Parking and Transportation Services and was not sure of the serial number. The bike is estimated at $130.
