A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault last Tuesday in front of the Cancer Center after a UA employee reported he was harassing her.
Bobby R. Mayes, of the 2700 block of North Vista Road, was arrested after a woman reported to police that a man approached her in front of the Arizona Health Sciences Center and asked if she was single. When the victim said she was single, the man repeatedly asked her for a hug.
The victim said the man matched the description of a man who was reported in last week's Police Beat for allegedly harassing women on the UA Mall. Police approached Mayes, who said he had spoken to two women earlier in the day.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged Thursday morning with possession of marijuana.
Jaime Francisco Morales, of the 1400 block of North Hualapai Road, was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday after police noticed Morales driving west on an eastbound lane on East First Street.
Police followed Morales and stopped him near the intersection of East Speedway Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue. A passenger in the car went into a restaurant, but police failed to locate him again. Police noticed a plastic bag with a green, leafy substance in the passenger seat.

A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged Thursday night near the intersection of North Norris Avenue and East Sixth Street for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Gilberto Sevilla, of the 1000 block of South Coleta Street, was arrested after police noticed a car swerving through two lanes for about 100 yards on Sixth Street, causing another car to break suddenly to avoid a collision. The car was also driving at an accelerated speed.
Police noticed Sevilla smelled of alcohol.

A 1991 two-tone red, four door Chevrolet Suburban was reported stolen Wednesday at about 8 p.m. from a parking lot at the intersection of East First Street and North Vine Avenue. The victim reported the vehicle was stolen sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
A child seat, two baseball bats and a garage door opener were also inside the Suburban. Police found broken glass near the reported site of the Suburban but have no suspects.
