University and Tucson police released more information yesterday about three separate weekend reports of sexual assaults reported by UA students.
An 18-year-old student reported Monday that she was raped Saturday about 9:30 p.m. at the Delta Tau Delta fraternity, 1550 N. Vine Ave. Police said the investigation is continuing and were unwilling to release further details.
Another 18-year-old UA student reported Sunday being sexually assaulted about 5 a.m. Saturday on East Sixth Street. The victim reported waking up and finding a man standing over her bed, said Detective Carla Johnson, a member of the TPD Adult Sexual Assault unit. The man escaped through a window and onto a balcony when the victim's boyfriend woke up.
The victim said she was not raped but was sexually assaulted during the incident.
The male is described as white, in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches and wearing a white T-shirt. Forensics tests are still being conducted at the site to find fingerprints, footprints and any DNA tissue. Police have no suspects.
A third 18-year-old UA student reported early Sunday morning she was raped at an apartment complex on East Blacklidge Drive. No one has been arrested and no charges have been pressed, but the investigation is continuing.
The victim was examined at a local hospital and released yesterday. Johnson said "several young men" were interviewed in relation to the incident. Johnson said it is unclear whether alcohol was involved in the alleged assault.
Dean of Students Melissa Vito said Monday, "a female student went to an apartment with four males and another female friend," but only one assault was reported.
