FRIDAY

Gallagher Theatre

Midnight Special "St. Elmo's Fire (108 min., R). Tickets are $2.50 at the Gallagher Box Office.

"Clueless," (97 min., PG-13) shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m., for $2.50.

Bonfire pep rally

A bonfire pep-rally will begin the festivities on the Mall tonight, 8:15 a.m.-9 p.m.

Part of the Homecoming activities, alumni, students, cheerleaders and coach will be on hand to cheer the Wildcats to victory. Homecoming royalty will be crowned. UA Mall near Student Union.

Student Adventure Matinee

UA Theatre Art presents "Sunday in the Park with George" at 11 a.m., Fine Arts Box Office, for $5. A shimmering island in the middle of the Seine and the French pointillist painter George Seurat spring magically to life in this Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.

Presentation

"Envisioning the Great Goddess" is a multimedia presentation by Janice Dewey, Department of Humanities, showing 4-5:30 p.m., Harvill Room 318.

Bear Down bash

Homecoming kickoff event includes buffet, dinner, drinks and music for all alumni. Call 621-7576 for reservations and information.

Arizona volleyball

Musical

SATURDAY

Class reunion

The Class of '65 will commence for dinner, musical entertainment and a program, all of which begins after the football game on the southeast corner of Old Main on the Mall. For more information, call 621-3539.

Barbeque

The Student Union will grill chicken and burgers from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. For more information, call 621-5074.

Student Showcase '95

Graduate and undergraduate students from more than 80 UA departments will be presenting exhibits of their academic work from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Students compete for cash prizes, judged by a team of UA faculty, students and Tucson and Arizona community leaders. Open to the public on the West end of the UA Mall. For more information, call 621-3512.

Annual Alumni Scholarship Brunch

Alumni who learned and created theatre at the UA will share memories of 90 years. The 10 a.m. brunch includes a performance of musical theatre selections spanning nine decades of productions, with vocalist Jean Oliver and music graduate Lisa Lemay at the piano. Brunch is $30 per person ($10 tax deductible). For more information, call Randi Kent at 621-9062.

Int'l student clubs

International student clubs will bey wearing their national dress and serving up foods from around the world on the Mall.

Parade

More than 80 entries include floats, bands, pep groups and past and present royalty, beginning at 11 a.m. Parade will circle the UA Mall area from Campbell Avenue to Old Main.

Registration

Homecoming registration and information tents will be set up on the Mall from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Poster display

Academic Outreach will sponsor a poster display on the Mall from 1-6 p.m. for UA departments to showcase their outreach programs, especially for a K-12 audience. Cash prizes will be awarded.

Mall tents

UA colleges, fraternities, sororities, alumni, campus and student organizations will host annual tents on the mall from 1-6 p.m.

Arizona football

Homecoming game vs. Oregon, 1:30 p.m.

KUAT's "Writing the Southwest" features Alberto Rios, award-winning poet, in an English and Spanish musical blend as he explores the crossing of languages. KUAZ89 (89.1) AND KUAT-AM (1550).

Alumni recital
