This is in reference to the letter of personal attack on Becky Donofrio by Jackie Casey ("Liberals offer ineffective solutions," Nov. 13). I was under the impression that the Daily Wildcat published letters of opinion on issues rather than people. Apparently, I was wrong.
Ms. Casey's letter advocated her feelings towards liberal opinions on issues that were not originally discussed in either Ms. Donofrio's letter or John Keisling's column. In attempting to discredit Ms. Donofrio, Jackie failed to notice that Becky is indeed studying a "real science." Furthermore, although economics is an important subject, it had no bearing on the issues discussed, and Ms. Casey's use of her expertise was irrelevant.
