Two safes at the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd, were robbed of $1,329 in cash.

An employee reported Friday that the cash was stolen sometime since the last monthly audit, which occurred Oct. 3.

The money is kept in the safes until it can be counted by employees. Four employees have access to the safes.

Police arrested a man with a warrant for four outstanding domestic violence charges after he was stopped by university police for driving erratically.

Darwin D. Sandau Jr., 37, of Hereford, Ariz., was taken to Pima County Jail and booked on four counts of domestic violence/disturbing the peace and one count of theft by control.

Sandau's vehicle was stopped in the west parking lot of Coronado Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., after the vehicle he was driving was observed driving 10 mph under the speed limit, weaving and hitting a curb.

A resident of Hopi Residence Hall, 1440 E. Fourth St., was arrested Saturday after she stole a bumper sticker from another resident's door.

Michelle Fregeau, 21, of Glendale, Ariz., was cited for theft and released at the scene.

A resident said he saw Fregeau, who is "opposed to his views on abortion" pick at the sticker not long before it was stolen. The sticker reads, "As a former fetus, I oppose abortion. Thou shalt not kill!"

Fregeau told police she was picking at the sticker but denied taking it. However, the sticker was later found as a crumpled ball in Fregeau's boyfriend's trash can.

Fregeau then said she did take it, and she was placed under arrest. The sticker was taken as evidence.

A UAPD patrol car was struck by a passenger vehicle Saturday as the patrol car was stopped on East Sixth Street during a DUI investigation.

Two UAPD patrol cars were stopped in the curb lane of eastbound Sixth Street with their emergency lights activated. A white Honda Accord then struck the rear of the patrol car.

Tucson police were dispatched to investigate the collision because the driver of the Accord was a "probable DUI."

Both vehicles suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported.

A black Schwinn 10-speed racing bicycle was stolen Thursday.

A student reported securing his bike to a rack on the north side of 1302 E. North Campus Dr. at 8 a.m. When he returned at 6:30 p.m., the bike and cable lock were gone.

The student did not know the value of the bicycle, and reported seeing no suspicious people in the area.
