Arizona Daily Wildcat
Ten former Arizona basketball players, most of whom now play in the NBA, will take part in the Tucson Ford Dealers Wildcat Dream Invitational this Sunday.
The Chicago Bulls' Steve Kerr and the San Antonio Spurs' Sean Elliott will host the event, which will feature UA alumni against a team of NBA players invited by each of the Wildcats, to be announced Wednesday.
Tickets are still available for the event, which takes place on Sunday at 4 p.m. at McKale Center. Proceeds will benefit Sporting Chance Youth Basketball Inc., the University of Arizona Academic Scholarship Fund, the Holmes Tuttle Boys and Girls Club, and Guardianships of Southern Arizona.
Besides Kerr and Elliott, the Arizona alumni squad includes (with most recent NBA affiliation in parentheses): Khalid Reeves (Miami Heat), Damon Stoudamire (Toronto Raptors), Brian Williams (Denver Nuggets), Sean Rooks (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tom Tolbert (Charlotte Hornets), Jud Buechler (Chicago), Anthony Cook (Milwaukee Bucks) and Matt Othick (San Antonio).
