A man was arrested near Babcock Residence Hall Sept. 1 after a brief scuffle with police.
David Baugh, of Esmond, Ill., was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
Baugh had been escorted off campus by the University of Arizona Police Department the day before, and was warned that if he returned, he would be arrested for criminal trespass if he was not being escorted by his sister, who is a resident of Babcock.
When he was told he was under arrest and was ordered to put his hands behind his back, Baugh said he did not want to be handcuffed, and placed his arms in a stiff forward position.
The officer was able to handcuff Baugh after a struggle.
The hall director of Babcock, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., gave police a file of incident reports that included six complaints about Baugh continuously hanging around, sleeping on the balcony, and staring at people in the hall.

University police officers went to the Administration Building Wednesday in search of a kidnapping suspect wanted by the Tucson Police Department.
The kidnapping victim spotted her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Vanteur, on the second floor of the building. He is wanted in connection with the kidnapping.
Vanteur's cousin already has been arrested for the kidnapping, but the cousin is suspected of acting in part with Vanteur.
Vanteur is an 5-foot-10, 180-pound African American.

Items from two stolen back packs were found shortly after they disappeared on Tuesday.
Two back packs were stolen from the Campus Christian Center, 715 N. Park Ave. One was discovered outside the west exit the same day. It contained some items that were stolen from the other bag.
The receptionist at the center told police that a Hispanic male who called himself "George" was in the lobby immediately before the back packs were stolen.
The receptionist said that "George" was carrying a faded maroon back pack when he came into the center.
A faded back pack matching that description was found outside the building just south of the center. The back pack contained items from both of the stolen ones.
"George" appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s. He is about 5-8, has a large build, and short dark hair.
