The Arizona baseball team has taken its lumps in the Pacific 10 Conference Southern Division this year, so any nonconference opponent is probably a welcome sight.

Grand Canyon University will be in Tucson tonight to make up the April 19 contest that was postponed due to rain. Game time is set for 7.

It will be the Wildcats' final nonconference game of the season.

Arizona (19-30-1 overall, 5-19 in the Six-Pac) will send left-hander Jason Ford (1-0) to the mound. Ford pitched 4 1/3 innings against the Antelopes during the UA's 17-8 victory April 11.

Grand Canyon (18-34, 8-10 in the Western Athletic Conference) will counter with right-hander Rob Price on the mound. Price has yet to earn a decision in his 12 appearances.

The challenge for the Wildcats will be to hold on to the emotion of Sunday's 7-6 win over Arizona State to help propel them for the remainder of their season.

Arizona will travel to Stanford this weekend for a three-game series with the Cardinal. Then after a two-week layoff, the UA will close its season with a three-game homestand against Southern Cal.
