Police arrested a 21-year-old student Thursday for the unlawful possession of a UA building key.

Jeffrey Stoff, of the 3000 block of North Sparkman Boulevard, was arrested after an interview with police where he admitted having an unauthorized key to the Music building.

Stoff said he was given the key by his roommate, who was in charge of security at the School of Music. His roommate, however, had been suspended and is not a current student at the UA.

Stoff said he was using the key to gain entrance to the building late at night to practice music.

Stoff was arrested and field-released.
