Academy Award nominees move back onto top-10 list

LOS ANGELES Ä ''The Brady Bunch Movie'' debuted as the Presidents' Day weekend film favorite, earning $15 million in its first four days of release.

''Forrest Gump'' and ''Pulp Fiction'' returned to the box office top 10 on the strength of their Oscar nominations.

''Forrest Gump,'' re-released Friday after 13 Academy Award nominations, earned an estimated $3 million to take eighth place this weekend and boost its overall gross to $303.6 million, according to estimates Monday by studio and industry sources.

''Pulp Fiction,'' which got seven nominations last week, earned $2.9 million in post-Oscar re-release and finished ninth over the weekend. ''Quiz Show,'' with four nominations, earned $1.1 million in re-issue.

The top 10 movies for the four-day weekend:

1. ''The Brady Bunch Movie,'' $15 million.

2. ''Just Cause,'' $10.6 million.

3. ''Billy Madison,'' $6.1 million.

4. ''Heavyweights,'' $6 million.

5. ''The Quick and the Dead,'' $4.4 million.

6. ''Legends of the Fall,'' $4.1 million.

7. ''Boys on the Side,'' $3.6 million.

8. ''Forrest Gump,'' $3 million.

9. ''Pulp Fiction,'' $2.9 million.

10. ''Nobody's Fool,'' $2.5 million.
