With the UA administration in the midst of a seek and destroy mission aimed at departments, it deems inefficient or of little use to society, I would like to offer a suggestion. Instead of getting rid of professors, let's just get rid of all the university employees who don't serve any useful purpose at all. In particular, its time to do away with the UA's "security officers."
You've all seen them. They're the fat guys in brown uniforms who walk around campus protecting us from the evils of cyclists who run stop signs. I have to say that I would feel no less safe on campus if these pseudo-cops were out of the picture. Of course, eliminating this ticket-wielding army probably won't save the journalism department, but it is a start in a better direction.
