A 19-year-old student was arrested early Sunday morning when police found a cellophane bag of marijuana, rolling papers and a metal smoking pipe in his residence hall room.
A resident assistant called police when she said she smelled marijuana coming from Kenneth Stoff's room in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St.
When police arrived they asked Stoff if he knew why they were there. Stoff replied, "You guys think I'm smoking something in here." Stoff then allowed officers to search his room and admitted to smoking marijuana. He was cited and released.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol Monday morning after they saw him driving in the bicycle lane in the area of East Speedway Boulevard and North Park Avenue.
Daniel Riviera, of the 1800 block of West Dominy Road, was arrested after he failed a field sobriety test administered by police. Riviera's driver's license was suspended for failing to pay fines on a previous DUI case.
Riviera was taken to Pima County Jail.

A 27-year-old man was arrested Friday evening for driving under the influence of alcohol near East Speedway Boulevard and North Park Avenue.
Steven Thomas, of the 1800 block of East Miles Street, was arrested after police noticed his car when his passenger yelled, "You guys fucking suck," out the window to officers assisting a motorist on Speedway Boulevard.
The police began following the car and saw Thomas changing lanes rapidly, swerving and speeding. Officers pulled Thomas over and noticed a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
The man in the passenger seat would not stop verbally abusing the police officer, and Thomas asked to get out of the car because he said his passenger was embarrassing him. The officer noticed Thomas was using the car as support and after he failed a field sobriety test, he was arrested.
While searching Thomas' car police found a brown glass container with two "white rock substances" inside. Thomas' passenger said the container was perfume and he did not know what the rocks were. They were sent to a laboratory for analysis.
