A 24-year-old student who was arrested in November and charged with a theft from the Student Recreation Center was indicted March 9 on 14 felony charges.

Corey P. Wick, of the 1200 block of East Grant Road, has been the subject of a UAPD investigation since he was arrested Nov. 23 in the Student Recreation Center after he allegedly stole compact discs from a backpack in the men's locker room.

He was indicted in Pima County Superior Court on several counts of fraudulent schemes, theft by misrepresentation, theft of a credit card and unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

At the time of Wick's arrest police were already investigating a string of thefts in which credit cards were stolen

from the men's locker room and used to buy merchandise at various stores on Sixth Street and Broadway Boulevard.

Police used a hidden camera and witnesses from an electronics store, where Wick purchased a television with a stolen credit card, to identify him in a police lineup.

Police found an estimated $8,000 in merchandise allegedly stolen or bought with stolen credit cards in Wick's apartment. The items included compact disc players, camcorders, video cassette recorders, 27 grams of marijuana and nine valid driver's licenses that did not belong to Wick or his roommates.

Wick will appear in court for an arraignment April 4.
