Police are investigating a report of a suspicious person after a female resident of Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall said she was followed by a strange man Wednesday.

The student said she left the hall at 6:30 p.m. to go to the Student Union. She said she was walking alone on North Highland Avenue when a man "just jumped out" from the bushes and began walking very close behind her. She proceeded to Louie's Lower Level in the Student Union for dinner and, she said, the man sat two tables away from her and stared at her with a "blank look on his face."

After eating, the victim said she began walking back to her hall with the suspect following. She said she became frightened and started running. The man did not stop following her until she called to a male friend standing in front of her hall.

Police have no suspects.
