Police arrested a 33-year-old man Friday afternoon and charged him with disorderly conduct when he refused to leave campus.
Police have been aware of several complaints against Lev Allen Olsen, of the 500 block of North Pantano Road, for trespassing in various buildings on campus and apparently having keys to many of them.
On Friday police were called to the Geology and Mines building after Olsen was seen wandering the halls. By the time police arrived Olsen had left the area but was located on the Mall in front of the Student Union after a woman called to complain that he had been trying to contact her.
Police approached Olsen on the Mall and warned him about trespassing on UA property. They told him because of the complaints made today they would have to escort him off campus but Olsen refused to leave.
After a short verbal confrontation the police decided to place him under arrest for disorderly conduct. When Olsen would not cooperate there was a short struggle but police eventually were able to handcuff him.
He was taken to UAPD, cited and released.

A 20-year-old student told police he was assaulted Sunday night by another student in retaliation for reporting the suspect to police for marijuana use.
The victim said he was entering Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall, where he and the suspect live, when the suspect approached him and began calling him a "narc." He said the suspect followed him to his room and pushed him as he made his way to the resident assistant's room for help.
The attack was allegedly prompted by a report of people smoking marijuana near McKale Center that led to the arrest of the suspect.
The Pima County Attorney's Office is reviewing the case.

Police responded to a disturbing-the-peace call early Friday morning at the Exxon gas station south of Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall.
When police arrived they arrested Charles Turner, 26, of the 1000 block of East 31st Street, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Turner's wife, who was at the scene in another vehicle, said a fight had ensued in the Exxon parking lot after she followed Turner from a local bar where she found him after he did not return home that evening.
After finding several alcohol bottles in Turner's vehicle, police performed a DUI investigation and Turner was arrested by the Tucson Police Department.
