A preliminary autopsy conducted on a recently-deceased University of Arizona graduate student Monday did not reveal the cause of his death.

Greg Wesley Huckins, 36, went hiking Thursday and failed to pick up a relative later that afternoon. His wife, Katrina Barnum-Huckins, became concerned and called police.

Pima County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Brad Foust yesterday said there was "nothing conclusive about the autopsy."

Because the preliminary autopsy offered no conclusions, the Pima County Medical Examiner will conduct a toxicology test within the next three weeks, Foust said.

"They (the Pima County medical examiners) will screen his blood for alcohol, drugs, etc.," he said.

The ecology and evolutionary graduate student was found in Sabino Canyon Friday afternoon by another hiker. Search and Rescue deputies hiked to the site and removed the student's body.
