NCAA to examine freshman eligibility requirements
After a district court judge ruled standardized tests unfairly impact African-American student-athletes, UA athletic department officials yesterday supported modification of NCAA guidelines for college admissions. With proposals ranging from eliminating the use of SAT and ACT scores to placing more emphasis on high school grade point averages, NCAA officials will meet later this month to work toward a resolution.






Wildcats host Grand Canyon
The Arizona baseball team usually uses its Tuesdays for intrasquad games or exhibition games against various junior colleges, but tonight at 7 UA hosts Grand Canyon at Frank Sancet Field in a game that counts on both teams' records.
