Are you worried that your good grades will be overshadowed by a poor performance during finals week? The Learning Strategies Workshop knows this is a concern for many UA students and has devoted today's free lecture to this topic. From 11 a.m. to noon, students will have the opportunity to discuss their questions and concerns about test anxiety. Instructors will teach proven techniques for avoiding distractions, common mistakes and stress. For more information about this lecture series, held in the Bear Down Gym, call Karen Gutierrez at 621-4548.

Pick up your carrot stick and bang on your sandwich at today's University Activities Board Eat to the Beat presentation of Groovin' on the Grass. A surprise band will provide background music for your lunch on the UA Mall between 12 and 1 p.m. For more information or to obtain clues about the secret performer, contact Stephanie Albright at 621-1111.

Tired of being misinterpreted online because you have forgotten where to place your commas, periods and quotation marks? Try getting a few tips from the Graduate Writing Workshop in Modern Languages 310 at 4 p.m. Today's installment of the free weekly series focuses on refreshing basic grammar and punctuation. Bring your ink-marred papers for specific questions or call Donna Rabuck at 621-5849 to make an appointment with the Writing Skills Improvement Program.

Take a stand at today's Center for Creative Photography open forum on the future vision of the center. For more information about other events at the Center for Creative Photography, call Elizabeth Ervin 621-1139.

Science takes on a more interactive approach as the Flandrau Science Center offers a variety of activities for the young and old at the "Flandrau Rocks! Exhibit."
