This hour-long program will teach you the ins-and-outs to improve your rŽsumŽ. The workshop starts at 10 this morning in Room 222 of Old Main. Get down to the tunes of local bands Stuck in a Groove and Warsaw at the Rec Center tonight. This desert heat may not feel so tropical, but once you join the Wildcat Welcome 2000 committee pool side for some great reggae music, you'll never know the difference. Here's your chance to voice any grievances about higher education in Arizona. Arizona's state legislative candidates from district 13 will be on hand tonight to answer students' questions and offer their views on the state of higher education. Sandy Rathburn of KVOA News will field questions from audience members. Come to the Swede Johnson Building to give your representatives a piece of your mind. The forum starts at 7 p.m.

Science and engineering majors won't want to miss out on tonight's meeting to learn about the departments' mentoring programs. Sorry guys, this one's exclusive for the girls. You'll get to meet other people in your major and recent developments in your field. The meeting will be held in the Gila dorm, and it starts at 5 p.m.

Why don't you drop by the Arizona State Museum during your lunch break to learn a little about Mexican masks. The museum has an exhibit exploring Mexican folk fiestas and religious pageants through more than 350 masks, from fanciful mermaids and monsters to historical and religious figures. The museum is open is open weekdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from noon until 5 p.m.

Science fans should swing by Room 410 of the Meinel Building this afternoon for a seminar on "Optical Frequency Mixers for Communications Applications." Martin Fejer, from Stanford University, will discuss the applications of fiber optics and laser frequency compression and decompression at this 3:45 forum. If you show up 15 minutes early, you can snag some free refreshments beforehand.

Cave in to corporate America while pocketing some free stuff. Local businesses and organizations will be out on the Mall again as part of the Wildcat Welcome 2000 Tucson Open House. As usual, they'll be soliciting your business and pawning off free products that you don't need, but hey, it's free. Booths will be set up on the Mall from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
