Due to a reporting error in Thursday's article "Built up, torn down, renamed," the original Pima Hall was reported as being built as a women's co-operative dorm in 1940.
However, the North Hall was renamed Pima Hall in 1913 and became a women's dormitory.
The new name was the result of a former UA president, Arthur Herbert Wilde, who recommended that dorms be named for Arizona counties.
The Wildcat regrets the error.
