Officers spoke with a UA student whose car was damaged by a flier from a campus-area bookstore on Friday, reports stated.
The student said mechanics found a flier for Rother's Bookstore, 501 N. Park Ave., inside her car's ventilation system.
The student said she would contact the store and attempt to seek compensation for her mechanic bills, reports stated.
The incident was not an intentional act of vandalism, reports stated.
Two UA students were referred to the Dean of Students Diversion Program Friday after admitting to smoking marijuana in a residence hall, reports stated.
Officers responded to La Paz residence hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., after receiving a report of a burnt marijuana odor, reports stated.
When officers knocked on the door of the room where the odor was coming from, Jonathan Patrick Ewery, a resident, answered exhibiting "signs of marijuana use, watery eyes, glassy look and smell of marijuana about his person," reports stated.
Ewery and Alexander Louis Davis, who also lives in the residence hall, both admitted to smoking marijuana. Ewery handed officers a small medicine container containing a green, leafy plant-like substance, reports stated.
Both students were charged with suspicion of unlawful possession of marijuana and referred to the Dean of Students Diversion Program, reports stated.
A UA employee called police Friday after he noticed several airbrush tools were missing, reports stated.
An employee at the Art Building, 1103 N. Park Ave., told police that he noticed the airbrush tools missing on Dec. 12 but did not call police until Friday, reports stated.
"I thought they would be returned," the employee told police.
The employee said about 10 people have access to the room where the tools were stored, but he does not suspect any of them of stealing the items, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
A UA employee called police Friday after she noticed a projector missing from a UA building, reports stated.
An employee at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Building, 1230 E. Speedway Blvd., said the projector was last seen located in a secured room, reports stated.
The employee said the projector is valued at about $8,078.50, reports stated.
The employee said she would contact the engineering department to see if anyone borrowed the projector, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
A UA employee called police after he noticed his bicycle missing, reports stated.
The employee said he chained his bicycle to racks on the west side of the Modern Languages Building, 1423 E. University Blvd., and when he returned his bicycle, a chain lock and a cable lock were missing, reports stated.
The Huffy-brand bicycle is valued at an estimated $100 and the chain lock and cable lock are valued at $20 each, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
A UA student was referred to the Dean of Students Diversion Program Thursday for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, reports stated.
Officers responded to Sky View Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., after a community assistant noticed a smell of burnt marijuana, reports stated.
Officers knocked on the door of the apartment giving off the odor and were not let in, but heard voices inside the apartment, reports stated.
Due to "exigent circumstances," officers entered the apartment, which was unlocked, and asked a UA student inside the apartment what the smell was.
The student responded that she was not sure what the smell was because she had just stepped out of the shower, reports stated.
While talking to two other UA students in the apartment, officers noticed a wooden box on a table in one of the rooms containing three pipes "which are commonly used to smoke marijuana."
They also observed, in plain view, a container with a green-leafy plant like substance, reports stated.
John Kushner, a resident of the apartment complex, admitted to owning the green-leafy substance and the pipes, reports stated.
Kushner was charged with suspicion of possession of marijuana and suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and released at the scene, reports stated.
