For two days only, the Annual Sports Illustrated CampusFest has invaded the UA Mall with large tents, exhibits and plenty of prizes. With more than a dozen sponsors, including Pantene, Timberland and Trojan, there is sure to be a myriad of events to entertain even the most overworked college student. Stop by the booths for a free round of arm wrestling, ball playing or sample scalping. If you have any questions regarding specific activities and their locations on the Mall, call the UofA Bookstore or Octa Leigh at 621-8855.

Don't wait until the last minute to get good seats for the Melissa Manchester concert on March 4 at Centennial Hall. Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. and will benefit the Arizona Hillel Foundation in their annual fund-raising event. The Grammy Award winning artist has released more than 16 albums and recently received the Governor's Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Mathematics is no longer about adding numbers and producing definite solutions for your math teachers in under 15 minutes. Instead, the UA math department is trying to teach the origins of specific theorems with today's lecture regarding applied mathematics. Interested students and faculty members should meet at 12:30 p.m. in the Math Building room 402. The talk will introduce historical concepts as well as their modern applications. The UA College of Pharmacy is sponsoring a lecture entitled, "Molecular Medicine and Health" in the College of Pharmacy auditorium room 325. Visiting speaker Dr. George Poste is the former chief science technology officer at SmithKline Beecham and will focus on diagnostic and therapeutic processes at 4 p.m. The hour-long lecture is open to all students and will cover "Challenges and Opportunities for the Pharmaceutical Sciences."
